Steve joined Marketo as the chief executive officer in November 2016. Steve is an experienced executive with more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software. Prior to joining Marketo, he served in many leadership positions at SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, BusinessObjects, and Crystal Decisions. He has co-chaired various government technology leadership initiatives, including the TechAmerica Big Data commission. Steve is also a board member at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and TiVo.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Colorado. His most recent accomplishments includes the soon to be published book, Engage to Win: A Blueprint for Success in the Engagement Economy, on September 18, 2018.
Sarah joined Marketo as chief marketing officer in October 2017. Prior to joining Marketo, Sarah spent ten years at Sabre Corporation, beginning her work there as a graduate intern and working up to positions like the vice president of global marketing and managing director of digital experience, head of Sabre Labs and CMO of Hospitality Solutions, the company’s fastest growing business unit. Sarah sits on the boards of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association and Tech Fort Worth, a nonprofit startup accelerator.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University and an MBA from the Naveen Jindal School of Business at the University of Texas in Dallas.
Greg joined Marketo as chief operating officer in December 2016. Before joining Marketo, Greg held leadership positions at Xerox, Crystal Decisions, and SAP’s BusinessObjects. He led the organization through hyper-growth and saw the company become the number one business intelligence provider in the world with over one billion in revenue. Greg left SAP in 2009 to found Emalex, a consulting firm for business-to-business technology companies.
Greg also holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Mika joined Marketo in 2018 as Global President. She focuses on driving growth at scale by delivering a world-class, end-to-end customer experience, overseeing the management of strategy, operations, and execution at Marketo, with accountability for the entire organization. Before joining, Mika was the first Chief Digital Marketing Officer for SAP, driving their digital transformation by leading the strategy and execution of SAP’s demand generation, marketing tools and technology, and field marketing disciplines.
In addition, she was Chief Marketing Officer of SAP SMB, driving efforts to modernize the go-to-market strategy, focused on addressing the needs at scale of small and midsize businesses. Prior to joining SAP, Mika was Head of Marketing and Merchandising for Amazon Books, where she launched the first brick-and-mortar Amazon Books store. She also spent more than six years at Microsoft as a leader launching the Microsoft Stores as well as serving in leadership roles driving channel management, pricing, and product management efforts within the Microsoft Windows group. This experience was preceded by her five-year tenure at Garner, Inc. where she covered the SMB market as Research Vice President.
Mika holds a bachelor of commerce (Honors) degree from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada.
Mark joined Marketo as chief financial officer in April 2017. Prior to joining Marketo, Mark served as the CFO of ACTIVE Network, CFO of LHP Hospital Group, and EVP and CFO of Sabre Holdings at Sabre Corporations. Mark was previously the chief financial officer and vice president of finance at GetThere, which is part of the Sabre Travel Network.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration focused in finance from Rice University.
Eric Johnson joined Marketo as chief sales officer in January 2017. As CSO, he oversees Marketo’s global sale operations. Prior to joining Marketo, Eric served in various roles, such as President of the Americas at Qlik, President of Global Sales at BlackBerry, President of Global Database and Technology at SAP, and SVP and General Manager at Sybase. Eric began his career as a Yen Options Trader in Chicago.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is fluent in both English and German.
Arun joined Marketo as chief product officer in 2018. Previously, he spent 17 years at Adobe Systems, and he also held many other senior leadership roles, including vice president of product for AEM, co-founder and president of Rocktide, and general manager of the Adobe Connect and LiveCycle businesses.
Arun holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Business Administration from San Jose State University.
Matt joined Marketo as chief customer officer in November 2017. His roles have ranged from interim chief marketing officer and group vice president of Product and Solution Marketing. Before joining Marketo, Matt helped launch LineStream Technologies as the vice president of marketing. Matt also spent time at Texas Instruments and Rovi Corporation, where he held various positions in sales, marketing, business development, and product management.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California in Berkeley.
Yasutaka is Marketo’s President of Asia Pacific-Japan, overseeing all operations in Japan, as well as Marketo’s presence in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Yasutaka has been with Marketo since 2014. Before joining Marketo, Yasutaka spent ten years at Salesforce.com, where he held several senior positions, including senior vice president of commercial sales in Japan, and before that, he worked with Oracle for eight years both at the United States company headquarters and in Japan.
Yasutaka earned a BA in Commerce from Waseda University. He also completed the prestigious TGMP Executive General Management Program from Harvard Business School.
Jamie joined Marketo as president of EMEA in October 2017. He oversees all operations in the region. Before joining Marketo, Jamie served as the senior vice president and chief marketing officer at SAP Hybris. In addition to his impressive 11 years at SAP, Jamie held leadership roles at Adobe and Siebel.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Kathy is the GVP of Global Enablement at Marketo. She joined the company in 2017 as the chief of staff for the office of the CEO, Steve Lucas. Before joining Marketo, Kathy spent four years at Oracle Marketing Cloud, managing the Industry Solutions Best Practices team, overhauling the OMC Partner Enablement Program, and leading the Market Readiness Operations Group for JAPAC and Latin America. Prior to her expansive work with Oracle Marketing Cloud, Kathy introduced and developed the Marketing Operations function at First Data Corporation. Kathy and her family are based in Denver.
Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of California, Riverside and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Regis University.
Sterling joined Marketo as general counsel from Hilgers Graben PLLC. He also served as the general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary for both Sabre Inc. and Travelocity.com. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Terrasoul Superfoods LLC, the advisory board of Travefy.com, and as a member of the American Bar Association’s Task Force for Legal Project Management. Sterling is a two-time published author with two books and the creator and writer for the blog, “Ten Things You Need to Know as In-House Counsel: Practical Advice and Successful Strategies.”
Sterling holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University and received his Juris Doctor in Law from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also certified in data privacy and data security issues by the IAPP.
Teresa joined Marketo in March 2017 as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In her role, she is responsible for recruiting, employee development, and training. Further, she leads the management and implementation of quality-based, integrated human resources programs, talent acquisition, and employee development.
In her most recent human resources role, Teresa was the senior vice president of human resources at Cvent, formerly Lanyon. Prior to her experience at Cvent, Teresa worked in healthcare IT for more than 20 years in a variety of roles.
Tawheed, or TK is currently senior vice president of Strategy and Alliances. He joined Marketo as the group vice president of Strategy and the general manager of Engagement Apps through the acquisition of ToutApp in 2017. Prior to joining Marketo, TK was the CEO and founder of ToutApp, a leading sales engagement platform. He grew the company to a multi-million-dollar business. Most importantly, while TK is stretched in many directions through his role at Marketo, he still finds time to code on weekends.
TK has two bachelor’s degrees: one in computer science and one in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
Aaron joined Marketo as Senior Vice President of Product Management through the acquisition of Bizible in May 2018. He has been building innovative marketing and ad tech products for 20 years. Prior to joining Marketo, Aaron was the founder and CEO of Bizible, the market leader in B2B marketing attribution and measurement. He raised $20 million in venture funding and grew the company with thousands of customers before Marketo acquired Bizible. Aaron also held various roles in Bing and Azure groups at Microsoft, before co-founding Bizible.
Will joined Marketo as the Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) in January 2018. He oversees all business operations in the region. Prior to joining Marketo, Will held executive roles in RedEye, smartFocus, Eloqua, and Oracle Marketing Cloud, shaping his passion for engaging customers. He also spent much of his career working alongside the United Kingdom and Australia’s leading enterprise marketers.
Will studied geology at Royal Holloway University in London.
Anand joined Marketo in 2018 as the chief of staff for the office of the CEO, Steve Lucas. Before joining Marketo, Anand worked for two years at Zayo Group Holdings, a Boulder, CO telecom infrastructure provider, where he led key strategic and financial projects on behalf of the CEO, COO, and CFO. Anand also spent ten years at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. While at McKinsey, Anand advised market-leading telecom, media, and private equity clients on strategy and M&A topics.
Anand holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Emory University and a Master's of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Jill joined Marketo as growth advisor in December 2017. She concurrently serves as the chief growth officer for Sales for Life, the largest social selling and digital sales training organization in the world. Jill previously founded her own consulting practice, #SocialSetting, to help sales and marketing organizations evolve their digital transformation. Before joining Marketo, Jill built a training curriculum at Oracle for the company’s global salesforce. She also worked at Salesforce.com, TrackMaven, HubSpot, and Affino, and Eloqua, among many others. She shares that knowledge of social selling with global companies like GE, AT&T, and Microsoft.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Finance from the University of Charleston.
